Andre Nendza

Quartet

Andre Nendza is, without doubt, one of the most committed band leaders with whom I have worked so far. Not only does he constantly manage three, sometimes four bands (besides his quartet a duo with Angelika Nescier, his 'electro band' A-tronic, the Andre Nendza septet and not lastly the trio Lemke-Nendza-Hillmann, where he at least acts as co-leader) which he provides with compositions and concepts, he regularly manages to make each of these projects come about and to organise concerts and tours.
Besides that he has set up his own record label 'Crecycle' on which he publishes his own recordings.
Finally he still finds time to play in other people's bands. His day must have a few more hours than mine! A big compliment here.
He had already assembled his quartet at the end of the 90s. Besides him it featured the pianist Hendrik Soll and the drummer Christoph Hillmann (by the way one of my oldest musical acquaintances, we played together in the 80s in the band Rejoicing) and me.

His first CD, released in 2000 :
"The invention of rooms"

2004 the second one
"Wild open Rooms"

As featured guest: Thomas Heberer-Trumpet

2007 we'll be recording again.........
